First Vaccine

Mama is super hesitant to do vaccines with you. While I do think that vaccines, given appropriately, have value, I find it hard to know when the right time/combo is. For instance, today I took you for your belated 2 month check up (so you're three months, oh well) and was thinking we'd give you the TDaP. Dr. Berkhahn is someone I trust very much and value his opinion. He thought that the combo vaccine was a much more effective vaccine. Usually I'd say no thank you but he had good reasoning and I know that he respects our choice not to vaccinate on schedule. So, you got the Pentacel. You've been a little extra snuggly tonight but I you've been just as smiley as usual. Hoping you feel fine tomorrow.

In other news, at 3 months you're a few ounces off of 15 pounds, 17 cm head and 24 in length. Big boy!! You giggle all the time. You go to bed at about 8pm and sleep until 12, when you eat again and then you eat about every 3 hours until morning. You love your Moses basket and cosleeping. You LOVE your sister. I love that. You're growing out of a 3-6 months size. And I seem to be doing the nesting that I didn't have the energy to do when I was pregnant with you. Crazy, huh?

We missed your baby dedication yesterday because I came down with one of the worst stomach viruses in recent memory. I was very disappointed to have to cancel but Daddy didn't want to do it without me. It seems the next time we could reschedule where your family and godparents can be there is in August. Soooo... we'll celebrate your 6-month birthday and your dedication in the same weekend. I'm sorry?
