I love taking these pictures of us together with the camera on the computer. It feels like a documentary of our lives together on the couch. That's our spot to hang out, although you do like to rock at night in the glider. Then we just put you down in your cosleeper drowsy and you fall asleep. Goodness that's easy! You also like your pacifier and to hold something soft- either your little lamb or a soft blanket.
You still wake up several times a night and I've noticed something funny about you, Little Man, if you're half-asleep you are GRUMPY. So in the mornings when you can't decide if you want to be asleep or awake and you're fussing with your eyes closed, I just wake you up completely and then you're a happy camper. So funny. You laugh at smile at your sister ALL the time now. You've stopped the flinching every time you see her, too, which is good. You have now mastered the art of rolling TOWARD something. Before you rolled if you felt like rolling, now you roll with a goal in mind. How can that be? You just came out, as far as I'm concerned. You're a drool-y little guy, too, but I know from my experience with your sister that just because you're showing signs of teething doesn't mean we'll see any teeth for months.
You weigh about 16 pounds. I think you're weight gain has slowed down a little but your appetite has not. The AAP says you can start rice cereal in 2 days (at your 4-month birthday) and I laugh. You won't be getting any solids until the more educated 6-months and maybe further than that. Rice cereal is junk. I'm trying to give you GOOD nutrition here!
You've learned to make a raspberry and try to do that at any opportunity and you've also learned to sing yourself little songs. What a sweet boy you are. And my, how much laundry you make. The drooling, the spitting up and (you'll be embarrassed when you read this in 20 years) - the once a week poops. Last week I just threw the onesie you were wearing out. It wasn't worth it to try to get the poop out that had leaked from your neck to your toes. Ew. That's why we don't put you in disposables very often (although, more often than your sister was, I admit.)
I love you SO much, Solomon. What a blessing you are in my life.
