You Found Your Feet!

This morning I noticed you playing with your feet. You've also been doing a funny game with your lips. God put so many built-in toys on you, didn't He, Buddy?

The past week and a half we've been on vacation. You are such a happy little traveler. You slept through the car ride on the first trip. On the way home you got a little tired of being in the car but I turned on Baby Signing Time (shhh don't tell the AAP) and you watched it contentedly...three times. You're definitely getting bigger and with more opinions, now, though. You're a little bit harder to take to my office. Daddy put away your bouncer and playmat this morning. You wouldn't stay on the playmat anymore and we traded the bouncer for the Exersaucer, which you loved. You're sleeping in your swing beside me right now and I'm reminded how easily you go to sleep, stay asleep and love to sleep!! You still don't sleep through the night but at 5 months I really don't expect you to. I'm happy to cuddle and nurse you in bed. You wake up at 8:30 in the morning or if you wake up before, Daddy plays with you and lets me sleep. Best. Daddy. Ever.

Another thing I probably shouldn't admit- I put some Dole Whip (pineapple softserve icecream) on your tongue in Disney World. You loved it. I figured one tiny drop wouldn't hurt that much. No allergic reactions or anything. When SG was little I absolutely freaked out when someone gave her banana pudding as a little one. If someone gave you a real bite I might have gotten upset. Clearly I've changed over the past 3 years. And yes, I'm still calling you exclusively breastfed despite the fact that you've had a taste of something. Oh well!
