Tomorrow is your six month birthday! Here's a chronicle of some things you're doing these days.
You're a babbling king. Dada, blah blah, etc. I love that sometimes when you babble your tongue lateralizes and you sound kinda like a baby Daffy Duck. You roll most places that you want to go but you can push yourself backwards and you get up on your hands and knees and rock back and forth. That's the step right before crawling. You're making me nervous. I'm not ready for you to crawl. Stay in one place, please.
You are getting more distracted in the daytime which means you are nursing more at night. I'm handling it pretty well because we sleep next to each other. Sometimes it gets exhausting, though. I'm telling you all of these things so that one day when you are a daddy, you can be sympathetic to your wife when she's tired from nursing her baby all night. It's normal and natural for a baby to need to eat at night. I don't know what I'll do with myself if you pick a wife who doesn't want to nurse or who wants to Ferberize. Goodness. I won't even think it.
You're still a super happy guy and your sister Sarah Grace is your favorite person. You're also in a stage where Mama can't walk past you without picking you up. Even if Daddy is holding you, if I walk past without picking you up you give the most pitiful little cry. I'm OK with you being a little mama-centric.
