Visit With The (Homebirth) Midwives

Yesterday you scared me because I had some bleeding. More than normal but not enough to make me run off to the hospital. You were kicking the. whole. time. so I wasn't concerned. A friend let us borrow her fetoscope this week so that we could let SG hear your heartbeat but I can't catch you on it. Robin listened to you tonight and said your heartrate is at 140 (what is up with you and a low heartrate everytime?) and your placenta sounds normal. At your ultrasound you were almost hugging the thing, so I guess it's taking good care of you. Beth (our midwife) said she wasn't concerned about the bleeding and Juliet (another midwife) said she thought it was your placenta causing it. Maybe all the hugging is a bad thing? Another friend loaned us her doppler and I can't catch you on that, either. This is the reason your momma is not a midwife.
